In The Blink of An Eye


In The Blink of An Eye, National Media Museum, 9th March – 2nd Sept

 

Time Frame is a new commission made in collaboration with Anne-Marie Culhane which will be shown at The National Media Museum in Bradford as a part of the exhibition In the Blink of an Eye: Movement and Media; revealing our fascination with movement and our desire to capture it through photography, film, television and new media. Time Frame is a two part video installation of world-class sprinter Leon Baptiste.

Co-curated by AV Festival and Emma Dean from MK Gallery the show at Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, Sunderland will include 3 works; As Far As The Eye Can See, Past Signal and hourly screenings of the film Inertial Frame. AV Festival – As Slow As Possible, a Festival in slow motion, taking place at different speeds, paces and times of day across Newcastle, Gateshead, Middlesbrough and Sunderland.

PRS New Music Incubator


PRS New Music Incubator, Acusticum, Piteå, Northern Sweden, 19–22 April

 

New Music Incubator is a unique, international exchange programme for performers, composers, improvisers and sound artists from the UK and Sweden. The programme comprises two intensive residencies which give twenty participants the opportunity to develop their practice through creative collaboration. Brunel University hosted the first residency of the programme in September 2011, the final residency will take place on 19–22 April 2012 at Acusticum, in Piteå, Northern Sweden.
